Divvy

Window Manager - $13.99 (free trial available)

Divvy

As a web developer, I frequently switch between my text editor, the terminal, and Chrome.  Divvy is a window manager for OSX that allows me to quickly and efficiently “divvy up” my screen into exact portions.

Rather than manually resizing windows with a mouse, I use custom keybindings.  If you're on OSX and miss Microsoft's Windows Key + Left Arrow / Windows Key + Right Arrow feature, Divvy is a tool I recommend.

Seil / Karabiner

Keyboard Customizer - Free

Seil Karabiner

Remap the Caps Lock key to something more useful with Seil.

The only time I ever used Caps Lock was by accident when trying to enter a password.  Now, I use it as an additional backspace / delete key.

With Karabiner, you can enable "Simple Vim Mode" to get Vim-like navigation in any application.
